Can Nylon Plastic Plate be used in humid or high temperature environments
Nylon Plastic Plate can be used in humid or high temperature environments, but the appropriate material needs to be selected according to the specific type and conditions.
Humid environment
Nylon itself absorbs water, and ordinary nylon sheets will absorb water in a humid environment, which may cause dimensional changes (expansion) or reduced strength. If you need to use it in a humid environment for a long time, it is recommended to choose glass fiber reinforced nylon sheets, which have lower water absorption and better stability.
High temperature environment
The temperature resistance range of ordinary Nylon Plastic Plate is generally -30℃ to +80℃, and can withstand 100℃ for a short time. Long-term high temperature (over 80℃) will cause deformation or reduced strength. If you need to withstand higher temperatures, you can choose high-temperature resistant nylon (such as PA66+GF), and some models can withstand 120℃-150℃ for a long time.
Usage suggestions
Humid environment: glass fiber reinforced nylon is preferred, or waterproof coating treatment is applied.
High temperature environment: avoid direct contact with heat sources, and add insulation layer if necessary.
Acid and alkali environment: nylon is resistant to weak acids and alkalis, and it is recommended to use PP or PVC for strong acid and alkali environments.
The specific model selection needs to be combined with the actual temperature and humidity conditions. You can provide the parameters and we will recommend the appropriate model.
